"Small Gallé Vase With Poppies Art Nouveau Signature With Star"
Small Gallé vase with rotating decoration called "tea ceremony" because of its shape - in reference to the Japanese ritual - in multilayer glass etched with orange acid supported on a colorless opalescent satin background. It rests on a small recessed heel. It is decorated with flowering poppy branches and finely carved leaves. Gallé signature with the star facing down, between the two poppy flowers facing each other. Art Nouveau period 1904 - 1906. Superb color contrast! Beautiful rotating decor! Dimensions: Height: 6.7 cm Diameter at the shoulder: 7.85 cm Diameter at the neck: 4 cm Very good original condition. Small scattered bubbles. The collar is well hemmed and the material is nicely thick. Heavy in the hands. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the Trade Shows in which I participate.
