Oil on panel, signed, dated and dedicated lower left by Fernand Jeanneau. Dimensions of the panel 56x38cm and 78x60 cm with its wooden frame. A self-taught painter, Fernand Jeanneau became a resident of Quimperlois through his marriage. He regularly took part in the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne from 1926 with views of Brittany. He was a laureate at the Paris exhibition in 1937. It is regularly exhibited in regional fairs which contribute to making it better known (Société Lorientaise des Beaux Arts, Ville de Quimperlé, Musée du Faouet). The painting we present is one of his favorite subjects (market scene)
