In 1948 he discovered the workshop of Fernand Mourlot (printer notably of the works of Picasso) and the beginnings of his career as a lithographer. He participated in the “young painting” movement in the 1950s. Later, he was part of the “witness man” group. It belongs to the School of Paris. He will work until the end of his life with a final period in non-figurative work. “It is clear as day, silky as night, red and black like the poppy, blue like the beautiful body of the crow,” wrote the poet Robert Marteau to describe Minaux’s work in “Les Secrets du métier”.
