Binding from the period in tan glazed half-sheepskin, smooth spine decorated with double gilded fillets, significant seeding of large golden fleurons, gilt title, set of gilt fillets at the head and tail. Important Atlas comprising 143 fine anatomy plates (including 22 with contemporary watercolor highlights, 2 on double-page spreads and 8 foldouts). Threadbare cuts. Slight friction affecting back and flats. Clear foxing on a few boards (more pronounced on a few of them). Tear (without loss) affecting a board. Otherwise, good condition.
