Gilded brass and bleached deer antler
H.: 15cm - Diam. of base: 5.6cm
Body in bleached deer antler imitating ivory, entirely and finely carved with interlaced foliage incorporating flowers. The upper part forms a bead carved with a garland of oak leaves and acorns.
Mounted in gilded copper, with a three-position measuring spout. Spring-loaded valve.
Signed BOCHE in PARIS.

Michel Boche: Paris-based manufacturer specializing in powder flasks. Universal exhibitions in 1839, 1844, 1855 and 1867. Patent of May 1845 for his powder flask with rotating cylinder.
