"Rouen Remarkable Patronymic Pitcher 1764"
Remarkable earthenware patronymic pitcher dated 1764, ovoid in shape, flared neck, fitted with a handle, with blue decoration. Executed on the occasion of the marriage of Maria Coquempot to Philippe Joseph Warenghem in 1764 in Wavrans sur l'Aa in Pas de Calais. Depicting a biblical scene, that of the sending on a mission of the apostles “he sent them two by two to announce the gospel”. Exceptional due to its format: 1 meter in circumference, 50 cm in height. Signed Dieul in Rouen.
