Object description :

"Louis XV Period Bonheur Du Jour "
Bonheur du Jour inlaid with decorations on all sides in a stepped rectangular shape, in precious wood marquetry with motifs of flowered vases and utensils on a violet wood background, in rosewood frames. It opens with three drawers in the upper part and two small side doors revealing a central shelf: the two small side drawers do not include a pull button and they open using a spring mechanism which is activated once the small doors are open . In the lower part, it opens with a drawer in the belt revealing a writing desk lined with black gilded morocco with small irons. Under the writing desk there are small storage compartments. It rests on four arched, faceted legs joined by a crotch shelf.
