Dimensions: 202 x 110 cm Notes: Joseph Dufour (1754-1824), presents his series on Psyche and Cupid in 1819. This set of 12 paintings in 26 lengths, which he considers to be his masterpiece, is made from 'after drawings by Louis Lafitte (1770-1828), Merry-Joseph Blondel (11781-1853) and Xavier Mader (1789-1830) after Gérard and Prud'hon.
