19th century English wooden peat bucket This walnut and stained wood coal bucket, circa 1860-1870, rests on three ball feet. Peat buckets were common in England and Ireland during the 19th century and may have been used to transport all sorts of things, from oysters to peat moss. This lovely bucket with clean lines and a striking two-tone color around the edge would also make a charming plant container, perhaps for decorative moss, boxwood or other....
