Rare large glazed ceramic plate with gold and silver highlights. Piece by the Catalan artist Eusebi Ruiz-Costa from the 50s. Eusebi Díaz Costa (1908-1964), an artist ahead of his time, who was able to develop a creative idea which was completely original and avant-garde for the time: he was the first to understand that ceramics with popular and traditional roots could become, in addition to being utilitarian and functional, an object with a clear decorative vocation, and was able to adapt and renew production to new aesthetic requirements.
