Great and rare letter full of humor in response to an inquiry about the vacations of star actors: “Here in just a few lines (on vacation I am so lazy that I have to make an effort to write a short letter) the information you gave me ask. I am in Bourville, 10 km from the Coast, west of Dieppe. I go to the sea every day to take a bath, I often take a shower at the same time because this summer in Normandy (I don't know if you know) it's raining! Tell your weather service at Le Figaro, these kinds of gossip always interest them. I'm going to do the duck like that until August 14 and from that date I'll do the mutt again at the ABC (I'm having fun huh?) In September I'll maybe shoot a film which should be called: "That Happened on a Sunday” under the direction of Gille Grangier, with dialogues by Yvon Andouart. I also have to play a role as a guide at the Palace of Versailles in Sacha Guitry's film [the film “If Versailles Was Told to Me”]. I don't know if you have enough to write a paper? but...it seems to me so! and then there is your imagination…”
