Pair of chairs from the “Bow Wood” collection by Steiner Paris – Noisy Le Grand. Hugues Steiner (1926-1991) is a French designer, twice deported and then finally a survivor of the Shoah, known for his collections inspired by organic forms and nature. He campaigned all his life, sometimes alongside Simone Veil, for peace and against all forms of racism. These chairs, featuring a curved solid ash structure with stainless steel ring, are covered in original grenadine-colored studded imitation leather. The seat, also original, is mounted on trapezoidal springs providing flexibility and comfort. These original and robust chairs will delight with their vintage style. ******** Period: 1950 Excellent condition. Normal wear of imitation leather due to age. Varnished finish on hard base redone in our workshop.
