Chaussure en cuir intéressante et importante, signe probable ou objet du savoir-faire du cordonnier. Surdimensionnée puisqu'elle mesure 38 cm de long, elle possède une semelle épaisse composée de nombreuses couches de cuir dont le dessous est recouvert d'une sorte de plot en bois. Une étiquette manuscrite apposée sur le contrefort nous renseigne sur son origine : "N° 6745 du catalogue du musée de Cluny - Chaussure (...) à double épaisseur en cuir (...) Epoque Louis XVI". Le musée de Cluny n'a pas toujours été celui du Moyen Âge, la constitution de ses premières collections datant du XIXème siècle. Pièce de collection rare avec quelques manques de matière sur son extérieur.
