Landscaper with great sensitivity to the pastell palette, member of the Salon des Artistes Français since 1921. Young, he followed the Beaux-Arts course in Marseille and completed his training with a stay in Italy, in Florence then in Rome. He also spent time at the École nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris before returning to his native region. Professor of drawing and Decorative Arts at the School of Fine Arts in Marseille, a position he held until 194, Poggioli never denied his Corsican origins (he painted his island with passion) nor his participation in the Proletarian Artists movement (Art et Travail, Maison de la Culture de Marseille in 1936). Indeed, Vice-President of the Union of Artists of Provence, he continued to take an active part in the professional life of visual artists and in the organization of various Salons.
