"Still Life André Rageade"
Oil on canvas mounted on panel signed André Rageade (1890 -1978) André Rageade was born in Chatou on October 6, 1890. He painted as a teenager but the First World War prevented him from continuing. He was injured in 1915 and then discharged. In 1929 he was a drawing teacher in Rochefort at the Pierre Loti high school, where he had his first exhibition. Then he was appointed to the Amiens high school at the School of Fine Arts. Finally, he will practice his talents at the Carnot high school in Paris. His favorite places are Vendée, Loire Atlantique, Yonne, etc... Rich, diverse production, Rageade is a complete artist. Charcoal, watercolor, pastel, oil will be his techniques. His work can be classified into four periods: post-impressionist and fauve, realism, symbolism with influence of abstract-cubism. Dimensions without frame: 29 x 21.5 cm
