After his studies in Barcelona, he chose to pursue a theatrical career, then came to Paris in 1918 where he worked as a typographer. Three years later, he devoted himself to painting and began participating in the Salons d'Automne, des Artistes Indépendants and the Tuileries in Paris. He returned to Barcelona in 1927, but soon returned to Paris where he devoted himself definitively. He has done several illustrations for famous books. A Spanish painter claiming to belong to the Paris School, he mainly painted typical Spanish scenes, ladies with fans, harlequins, gypsies, treated with large brush strokes, in bright colors.
