"Mask Abelam – Sepik"
Small Mask – Sepik Classic Bird Head Yam Mask. This mask, typical of Sepik art, is made of braided fibers, colored with ocher and other pigments, undoubtedly represents a bird's head. Smoked patina. On the occasion of festivals celebrating the harvest, it was fixed on yams the size of a man, whose silhouette they evoked.
