Tapestry after F. Boucher (1703-1770).
Boucher was superintendent of the Manufacture des Gobelins from 1755.
His cartoons met with immense success. Reflecting a kind and refined era, his work is entirely focused on love, libertinage and parties. Nature is for him a pretext for graceful compositions where shepherds and shepherdesses are mainly concerned with love, flowers and music.
From F. Boucher (1703-1770).
Dimensions: 170x166 cm
Condition: Good general condition, some slight tears in the beige sky. Wear and dirt on the back
