Object description :

"Suji-bachi Kabuto - Edo Period"
Kabuto of Suji-Bachi type, in lacquered iron, composed of sixteen flat plates. On the front, its visor is riveted to the kabuto by three buttons, accompanied at the ends by two fukegaeshi. It is enhanced by its golden metal maedate in the shape of a half-moon. He has a hineno-shikoro (neck protector), made up of five plates linked together by a dark blue cord, the last of which is topped with beautiful golden buttons. The last plate is damaged.
The menpo covers the face below the side cheeks, with a space for the mouth and a hole at the bottom called asenagashi no ana, located under the chin to allow sweat and condensation to drain. It retains its original laces on the kabuto, which allowed the mask to be firmly attached.
