Superb painting representing a riverside under the snow signed by the Polish painter Jan GRUBINSKI who studied at the School of Fine Arts in CRACOW around 1896/1897, then in PARIS in the workshop of Raphaël COLLIN. MEMBER of the Beaux encouragement school Arts in Warsaw where he exhibited romantic and nostalgic landscapes in 1899, 1900, 1925-1927 and 1933. In an imposing format, signed lower right, on its original canvas and with its frame with palmette molding in gilded and patinated stucco, this painting is of high quality and a very rare subject with sumptuous colors.
