Very beautiful watercolor enhanced with gouache, representing Father Nicolas in Pont-Aven, c.1896 (titled on the back). Joseph-Victor Roux-Champion, overwhelmed by the works of Paul Gauguin exhibited at Durand-Ruel, came to Pont-Aven in 1896, met Slewinski and, until 1900, stayed every year in Moëlan and Pouldu.
