This elegant sloping secretary from the Napoleon III period, in the Louis XV style, is entirely curved on all FOUR sides. The crossbow facade is made of rosewood veneer surrounded by violet wood. The flap surrounded by a brass ingot mold is covered in red leather with gold braid (redone) revealing three small drawers and a mobile tablet. The double-curved back is made of rosewood and violet wood. We find similar work on both sides. The front legs are finished with gilded bronze shoes.
