Magnificent study by the famous Genevan artist, representing the profile of a young woman. Executed in black stone and white chalk, this small work is of great quality of execution. Landscaper and portraitist, he enjoyed great success, especially abroad. The Empress Mother Maria-Fédorovna and the former Empress Josephine bought paintings from him.
