"Restoration Period Silver Compotier"
Silver compote bowl from the restoration period. The goldsmith has created a shaped piece of rare quality. The carving work offers us a sumptuous decoration which is based on: -A swan as a bud on its palmette nest enhanced with flowers. -Beaded pattern frames the lid. -At the top the container is framed with gadroons and in the middle a laurel wreath. -The ladle foot is topped with feather decoration (diam. 8 cm). -The tiger coves reveal the vines on palmettes all in an S-shaped winding. -The plate is sublimated on heart spokes (diam 18 cm). The set includes the neck brace punch and under the plate (the family monogram, later work). Possible delivery not included in the price
