"Collectible Cane - Trade Cane With System - Known As Forestier Measure - Early 20th Century"
Charming professional cane for forester in precious wood and iron/aluminum mechanism,

specially designed to evaluate and measure the diameter of tree trunks intended for felling.

This collector's cane is a fine example of a system cane, combining both functionality and aesthetics. It is made of a malacca rush barrel with an incorporated measuring mechanism.

Condition: Very good general condition.
Note, however, a small aluminum lever to repair or redo.

For more information on this model, you can consult Catherine Dike’s book, *System canes*, page 230, n°26/6. (see photos)
