Quasgai rug, of Persian origin, made of quality silky wool velvet on a cotton foundation. Characterized by a midnight blue field decorated with multiple symbols representing the ground including flower buds, colored stones, diamonds, insects, animals, combs, hourglasses stylized geometrically in polychrome decorated with three crenellated ivory and brick medallions inlaid with crabs and Multicolored stylized tarantulas. Four ruby spandrels decorated reminiscent of the central diamond-shaped medallions. Eight borders, the main one being beige, with interlacing of fine stems surrounding multicolored flower buds and finely drawn lace oak leaves.
