"Charming Complete Dessert Service Tea Coffee In Limoges Porcelain Art Deco Hand Decor 1920 -1935"
The richness of its floral decoration hand-painted in black on the pink background and highlighted with amati gold allows this tea and coffee service to cross the ages and to blend with the most varied decorations of the Napoleon III style to Art Deco. It is complete with its 12 cups and 12 saucers. Abundant decoration of bouquets of flowers in reserve on each room. The flowered reserves, the edge of the cups and their foot are decorated with a golden net while the handle is painted in gold. The same decoration is found on the saucers as well as on the shaped pieces. Each piece is coated on the back with the black enamel initials of the decorator JV. Each cup is numbered by hand from 1 to 12 with the exception of cup 7 under which appears the brand of the André Giraud Manufacture in Limoges. The printed mark of the Porcelain Manufacture (between 1920 and 1935) "André Giraud Limoges France" under cup 7, the other cups and saucers bearing the sole marking "Limoges France" accompanied by the cup number. It consists of: - 12 cups (9.5 drinking diameter / 4.7 cm height) - 12 saucers (diameter 14.2 cm) - 12 cake plates (diameter 19 cm) - 1 round dish (diameter 19 cm) 26.2 cm) - 1 rectangular dish (40 cm x 16 cm) The whole thing is in very good condition with the exception of the cake plates which show some wear (see photos). No chipping. Slight color nuances on the shape pieces. A delicious, very girly service, unusual and perhaps even unique! Perfect for your baby shower!
