Dani Wamena necklace – New Guinea
Very beautiful necklace presenting five large falling shells. The link is made of braided plant fiber onto which small nassa shells are sewn. The five shells, coming from the shell of a falling Melo-Melo, are linked together by a finer braided link. Beautiful patina of age.
