Jehan I LIMOSIN (1528-1610) in Limoges - Early 17th century. Slightly domed rectangular plaque in copper painted in polychrome enamels, depicting The Denial of Saint Peter in an oval framed with floral scrolls. Titled “S-Petrus” at the bottom center and monogrammed at the bottom right. Very slight lack of enamel in the lower left corner. In a Bérain-style frame in carved and gilded wood decorated with foliage scrolls on a cross-shaped background.
