Lacquered beech Salon in the Retour d'Égypte style from the Directoire-Consulate period, circa 1798-1800

An interesting and elegant Directoire-Consulat period salon in molded beech carved with caryatids, palmettes, and claw feet, lacquered in cream. The set is composed of a large six-legged sofa and four armchairs.
Very fine tapestry work has been done, and the sofa also received two small duffels and three cushions.

Our set of seats is in fine original condition. The original lacquer makes these seats very beautiful, and the upholstery has been redone in the old-fashioned way.
