"Marquetry Handkerchief Games Table, Edwardian Style, 20th Century"
Elegant square “handkerchief” game table with marquetry made of white and dark rosewood. The four triangular flaps pivot and reveal a play space of 79 cm x 79 cm. The latter is lined in the center with green felt bordered by a gold frieze on a black background. Each of the corners of this board offers a hollow section to place the pawns. In the closed position, you will appreciate the pretty light wood marquetry, as well as the lemon tree fillets which adorn the top of this flying table. A drawer on the front opens with two small chiseled brass pull buttons. The whole rests on four covered legs with casters, reminiscent of the Directoire period. They are finished with casters - Edwardian period (after the Victorian period).
