Napoleon III Games Table Console, in blackened wood, dating from the mid-19th century. Its wrap top is cut and inlaid around the edges with different threads. The center displays a composition of a vase, foliage, volutes and a rosary in finely chiseled brass. This double tray, bordered by a bronze molding decorated with wrapped asparagus, pivots on an axis and unfolds to to offer a games table covered with oxblood-colored felt with gold-patterned leather braid and brass threads around the perimeter of this space. The three visible sides of the belt are highlighted with fillets and two bronze motifs on the front. The underside of this belt is also decorated with a chiseled baguette. The whole rests on four spindle legs, with collars and fixed grooves garnished with asparagus, ending in tops.
