Refined large 19th century table mirror from the Napoleon III period (height 68 cm bevelled in a gilded bronze frame flanked by two pivoting sconces connected by chains, the upper part has a foliage pediment with the figure of a mascaron of Apollo. Note that this caryatid is inspired by one of the models by the sculptor Pierre Charles Simart (1806-1857) which adorn the Palais du Louvre at the Sully pavilion.
