Henry GERMAIN. Aix les Bains. La Plage à la page - Lac du Bourget. Large original Art Deco gouache on strong paper. Dimensions 650 x 500 mm. Condition: Very good condition. This unique gouache, advertising poster project to promote reading in Aix-les-Bains, is signed "Henry Germain" in blue at the top right. It represents an open book on which is placed the shape of Lake Bourget. It is not dated but was part of a set of which some gouaches were dated 1934 and came from the Grenoble School of Industrial Art. Superb composition, very graphic.
