"Painting 19th Century By Maurice Joron (1883-1934) “the Presentation Of The Painting”"
Very beautiful painting representing a merchant presenting a work to his client (an ecclesiastic) in the 18th century (Louis XV period) in the interior of a luxurious private mansion, signed lower right and on its original canvas with its frame with keys and a superb period frame in wood and gilded and patinated stucco. He proceeds with his period vignette mentioning the presentation of this painting at the Salon des Artistes Français in OUT OF COMPETITION. after an internship at the School of Decorative Arts, he entered the Beaux Arts de Paris in the workshop of Fernand CORMON, where his comrades nicknamed him Frans HALS in reference to his dexterity. He traveled to Florence, Venice, Naples and Amsterdam thanks to a patron who believed in his talent, he then studied TITIAN, REMBRANDT and VERMEER. working on the motif or with models, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes FRENCH where he received a medal in the Hors Concours category in 1909 (maybe our painting). He relays the truth of his subjects with great contemplation. amateurs compete for his paintings in London, Belgium, the Netherlands as well as in Switzerland, Spain and South Africa. since 2010 a space in his name has been dedicated to him at the Adrien MENTIENNE museum in BRYE SUR MARNE or the TRIBUNE DE L ART close to Jacques Émile BLANCHE.
