Bronze sculpture representing a nude holding a swallow in his hand signed on the Falconnet terrace on a Griotte-colored marble base. Etienne Maurice Falconnet was born December 1, 1716 and died January 24, 1791, was a French sculptor and encyclopedist. He is considered one of the masters of the Baroque school, Falconnet is also a neoclassical sculptor. He is also a theorist who thinks and writes about his art.
