"Pair Of Large Venetian Caprices"
Our pair of Venetian caprices is in a large format: Framed, each painting measures 95 x 110 cm. They both present an unused view of the Serenissima. The spirit of Francesco Guardi (1712-1793) is undeniable. Their beautiful original frames, typically Venetian, indicate the period of their creation: They are 'an Italian School around 1840/1850.. The paintings are in excellent condition..They were previously re-canvased (see the photo which clearly shows the original canvas and the re-canvas. They were sold in 1948 by the renowned Galleria Geri from Milan, specialized in the sale of old paintings and antiques. (see the photo of the label stuck on the back with the prices of that period) A pair of striking canvases which allow you to decorate a large section of wall and which cannot be never tire.... Our paintings are carefully packaged by ourselves and shipped by professional carriers. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. We of course provide a quote.
