"Regency Period Shepherdess."
Régence Bergère and its upholstery decoration. Its gendarme hat backrest rests on a trapezoidal seat with taut crosspieces, the curved frontal, still influenced by Louis XIV; the noses and armrest supports are detached from the cheeks, rolled up and arched like the feet and announce the current Louis XV lines. In very good general condition, the covering silk is a little worn on the back. Beech molded and lightly carved with fine scrolls. Regency period. First half of the eighteenth century.
