G. Gibou (19th century): “The edge of the woods”, very large pencil drawing 41 the top but whose beautiful golden bevel can be recovered by covering it with a lighter canson. Slightly photo-oxidized, circa 1890. It is still incredible that an artist with such mastery is unknown to Bénézit and the databases ! The suggestion of colors by the delicate shading and the nuances of shades shows that it was not an amateur who created it.
