Ateliers Petitot was founded in Paris in 1860 by Eugène Petitot, who began producing standard lighting chandeliers for public buildings.
Under the leadership of Henri Petitot (from 1914 - 1938) the company changed to a specialized manufacture of luxury modernist Art Deco lighting. 
Nowadays "Ateliers Henri Petitot" is a synonyme for one of the most wanted Art Deco lamps.
