Pair of beautiful Sphinges, legendary model, (allegory of power of women and favorites on Court of kings of France), after a model by Nicolas Coustou (1658-1733) and Jean Hardy (1653-1737),
These are 18th century sculpture, beautiful sand cast, meticulously tools reworked, (see photo of details), in a so-called pendant pair, separated from their original base, but when we rediscover a pair beautiful ladies of yesteryear, we must not be difficult.
Good condition, traces of fire, limited wear.
Dimensions = 14.5cm x 13cm x 7cm. weight: 2.4kg for the pair.
