French actor, screenwriter and director, Noël-Noël began as a satirical cartoonist, before embarking on a career as a singer after 1920. He multiplies magazines and writes a significant number of popular songs. From 1930, he launched into cinema as an actor. From 1932, he played the character of Ademaï in a few short films which brought him notoriety. The experience was extended in successful feature films such as Ademaï aviateur (Tarride, 1934), Ademaï in the Middle Ages (Marguenat, 1935) and Ademaï Bandit d'Honneur (Grangier, 1943). His popularity exploded after the Second World War thanks to the triumphs of La cage aux rossignols (Dréville, 1945) and Le père calme (Clément, 1946) which he helped to produce. He returned to comic roles with Les break-pieds (Dréville, 1948). In 1951, he produced La vie chantée on his own. During the 1950s, he was seen more rarely, even if he still had some successes such as On foot, on horseback and in a car (Delbez, 1957), Messieurs les ronds-de-cuir (Diamant-Berger, 1959) and The old guys (Grangier, 1960). He then stopped working in the cinema and spent a peaceful retirement. Other works engraved by the same artist available soon.
