"Printed Cotton Yardage By Mariano Fortuny - Italy Circa 1920-1940"
Circa 1930/1940 Italy Yardage for curtain or refined decoration of marbled blue printed cotton with large Terracotta decoration by Mariano Fortuny, famous Venetian manufacturer. Cotton twill background deliciously printed with a bluish grisaille decorated with large bouquets inspired by Lucca Italy of the 16th and 17th centuries. Sienna-orange tones with subtle color gradients of which only the Mariano Fortuny factory, which printed on the island of Giudecca in Venice, knew the secret. Plain side borders in TerraCotta, without handwritten wording. Coupon never used, no defect. Excellent condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: 269 cm high x 136 cm wide in full width.
