The impressionist landscape with wild boars was executed c. 1900 by the Austrian landscape painter Georg Fischhof (1859-1914). He studied at first architecture, then at the art school of applied arts of Friedrich Sturm and at the Munich Academy. in 1899 he lived in Dachau and then moved to Vienna. Mood of Impressionism combined maritime and forest motifs with animals (autumn; wild boar in snow) as well as lake views and portraits. (Archduke Rainer, Duke and Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Princess of Schleswig-Holstein Dora), also wall tapestries in some Viennese noble palaces, in the throne room of Klosterneuburg Abbey and entertainment clubs from Vienna.. Fischhof also worked under various pseudonyms, for example Tihany documents Claiton, Ducat and Wagner.
