Beautiful carving for this bronze plaque from the 19th century, after Antoine Louis Barye, famous French sculptor, born in 1795 and died in 1875. This bas relief plaque represents the fight of the eagle and the serpent, symbolic of victory of Good over Evil. Signed lower and left on the rock: Barye. Dimensions: 14.5 x 10 cm.
