Biography :
Roche Bobois is the story of how the managers of two stores met in the 1960s at the Copenhagen Fair: Philippe and François Roche on one side, and Jean-Claude and Patrick Chouchan of the "Au Beau Bois" boutique on the other. They wanted to stop making furniture and join forces to import Scandinavian furniture. The following year, Roche Bobois set up franchises while continuing this import model, expanding their range to include Italian furniture and collaborating with Hans Hopfer, Christian Lacroix, Sonia Rykiel, Kenzo Takada and Jean Paul Gaultier. The 2000s marked a real turning point, with the brand opening 250 stores worldwide and intensifying its collaborations, making it a key player in the world of designer furniture.
