Oil on canvas representing a flower garden of a villa, with architectural elements, numerous plants notably in pots presented in tiers, evoking the atmosphere of a Provençal garden. Pauline Delacroix was born Pauline Elisabeth Garnier on June 9, 1859 in Passy, and died on February 8, 1912 in Paris 15th. Younger sister of Jules Arsène Garnie (1847-1889) who taught her watercolor, she married the painter Henry Eugène Delacroix (1845-1930) in Suresnes. Pauline Delacroix had her workshop with her husband at No. 22 rue de Douai Paris 3rd. In 1895, she received the grand prize at the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors, of which she became vice-president. In 1909, she obtained a third class medal at the Salon.
