1919, by Poltrona Frau, is a historic armchair inspired by the 128 model, which entered the Renzo Frau catalog starting from 1919 and which took up the opulent characteristics of the Rococo bergères.
Padded and entirely covered in petrol blue leather, it features the design of the backrest obtained with manual capitonnée workmanship on a load-bearing structure in seasoned beech.
The pouf, rectangular in shape, is covered in the same leather as the armchair. The structure has the large ears of the backrest and the wide flourish armrests finished in pleats, with the brass plate holder arm and walnut saucer on which the small circular brass ashtray marked with the Frau logo is placed.
Rhombus-shaped label in golden metal on the lower rear part of the backrest showing the details of the armchair and the number of the example (n. 1533):
"Poltrona Frau from 1919 re-proposed with the same construction technique and covered with full-grain calfskin. Limited edition. Specimen no. 1533"
At the bottom, Poltrona Frau manufacturing label with serial number.
