"Large Klewang Saber From Sumatra"
This weapon is a large Indonesian Klewang, and this model is characteristic of the island of Sumatra.The blade is a beautiful forge, in structured steel, that is to say laminated steel with selective temper line, with a single edge initially, and presenting a counter-edging in its last third.
Blade length = 68 cm
The handle is made of a single piece of horn, probably buffalo. It appears that the back of the hilt features the stylized profile of a Batak tribal deity (?)
