Oil on canvas representing a small gypsy camp with caravans in the background, in a green landscape, signed E. Febvre*, in a Montparnasse frame in painted wood, vintage 20th century. This painting is in good condition. Signed lower left. Note: some slight wear and lack of paint on the frame, wear and tear, see photos. *Edouard Febvre (1885-1967): Active in the 20th century. He is the painter of gypsies, of sad suburbs, of fortifications and suburban streets under the snow, of funfairs. He painted a lot of scenes from the Butte Montmartre, then left Paris for Nantes. At the Salon d'Automne in 1941, he exhibited a painting entitled “Snow Effect”. (artist listed in Bénézit) Artist well-rated on ArtPrice.
